| WHAT IS BLANK TAPE RECORDS? |
We are a collectively owned and operated independent record label based in Southern Colorado, dedicated to creating and sharing music. Our artists make up songs, wander and sing cross-country, conjure spirits and invent albums. So that we might do the impossible and make a living out of our curiosities. Since 2008 Blank Tape has released over 20 albums, the majority featuring the diverse and talented music scene of the front range. |
| HOW DO I GET SIGNED TO BLANK TAPE RECORDS? |
We are friends helping friends put out records, working through an organic process. We don’t make our artists sign contracts, so our relationships are based on friendship, good work ethic and trust. We all contribute to the Blank Tape Family in some way shape or form; we are artists, designers, social media managers, photographers, envelope stuffers, web designers, audio engineers and videographers dedicated to each other’s vision and dream. New bands and artists come into the fold when they have made a mark within our community and there is a mutual agreement that we can benefit from one other. |
| IS BLANK TAPE RECORDS A STUDIO? |
We are not a studio, however there are many in the Blank Tape Family who offer recording services. For example; Mike Clark (The Haunted Windchimes, Sugar Sounds), Conor and Ian Bourgal (The Changing Colors) and Marc Benning (Sugar Sounds, Grant Sabin Band) collectively own a space called "The Milk House," that offers recording services. |
